lessons learnt from private baking escapades.
1) never reuse ingredients (e.g. extra mix). they compromise the quality of your final product. ingredients should be made fresh at the start of every new bake.
2) be thankful for your mixer. hand mixing is never an easy chore.
3) do not miss out any ingredient. a teaspoon of vanilla essence might just make all the difference.
4) however, in relation to the 3rd lesson, amounts of ingredients might not always be exact, here’s where a little creativity might make its way in to your bake. (just watch the creativity, too much might prove disastrous)
5) clean up’s never as fun as baking, but whats baking without clean up?
6) it helps to have a parent that enjoys baking as well
i’ll extend the list as soon as I learn new things.
